One big suitcase, one carry on, and one personal item.

April 14th #4

You have to leave your house indefinitely. Your pets can go with you. But you only get to carry one big suitcase, one carry on, and one personal item. What do you bring, and why? What do these choices say about you?

It’s a wonderful feeling to know that something you thought would not benefit you anymore after one event becomes useful again. I can fit everything I won into 1 suitcase, 1 carry on and for a personal item it would be something to play music on or take photos with. I would love to say my phone but the first 2 weeks of school told me to reevaluate my life and my Instagram addiction by snatching it outta my life so fast. This is due to my attempt at living a minimalist and eco-friendly lifestyle, which proved to work very well for my situation, as I love thrifting and redesigning my clothes, I prefer to eat from home and cook myself and lastly having just what I need with room for some extra trinkets. I’ve always lived similarly to this, so there wasn't much of a change other than developing a mildly worrisome constant want for more plants.

I know that I can fit all I own into the one suitcase and carry one as when I moved to Kenya from Cambodia, it's all I had and needed. My way of dealing with keeping myself organized and trying to keep my space clear is by having less, and as I am terrible at staying organized I have resulted to giving away more and more things in a sad effort to try and reduce the things I need to manage. Without a doubt, I can say that every single teacher that has ever taught me has said something along the lines of "Bianna has a lot of potential, but lacks the time management and structuring skills needed to hone on it." I believe they have mistaken my constant high energy for some sort of deformed chance at success if I just learn the basics of keeping my shit together. whatever that is.

All in all, the way I have attempted to conglomerate (yes I googled that word, and I know I'm using it incorrectly)  everything I own to fit into a bigs suitcase and a carry-on, tells a lot about my ability to self asses and improve, which very unsurprisingly, has barely changed in 4 years. As well as how I plan to go about solving this problem I have with management and meeting the standards. To conclude, there is no one to blame but myself and this entry went from 0 - 100 real quick, but at least I'm self-aware. Oh and I don't have a pet, they all died painfully.

ps. select this entry, excluding this and the task and check the word count. nice.
